Hey guys I'm brand new to this forum and came here to ask your opinion on this 1990 240sx.I currently own a 1996 Chevy Corsica, and I'm looking for something that I can maybe work on a bit and tune.I know the brake pads need to be replaced and the e brake cable is broken.How hard would it be to replace the brake pads and the cable?Anyways here is the Craigslist description. Well first thing is you need to test drive the car give it a little hell, see if it has power (you dont want to buy something some kid has ragged out) and no lag in the pedal. lag in the pedal could mean the o2 sensors are going out and the car will get shitty gas mileage.check the inside of the tires to make sure they arent going bald because that will mean the car needs an alignment also check the oil and see if the car has been well maintained. Brake pads are VERY VERY easy to change. but when you change the break pads you will need to change the rotors also, New rotors are about 80$ for two at Advanced Auto. But you might have to buy more depending if the car has disc or drum breaks in the rear. Now an E-Brake cable might be a little tricky it all depends where the cable is actually broke at. i have never changed one myself but have talked to people that have. If you are unexperienced in working on cars then you are better off taking the 240 to a maintainence shop in your town and having them do it. I hope i helped you.
