Daily driver that can be taken to the track

Hey guys and gals,I am new here and to the tuning scene. Been doing some reading through the stickies and stuff especially the New Car thread but most of the advice is for young kids but I am 23 and getting my first car soon.

I've been driving for 8 years and I know how to handle myself but never had my own ride. I am looking for something that is FI stock or easy to not/bank breaking to turbo/supercharge. I have been driving my roommates 335i as well as his r35 for the past year on occasion (hand to god, my roommate is crazy rich and trusts me). Sadly I can only drop about 10k give or take. Any suggestions?

I have been researching Stealth/3k twinturbo, WRX, SRT-4,Eclipse GSX, 06 GTI, Cooper S and Cobalt SS/SC. I need something I can drive and after some modding take it to the track for time attack and such. Anything Suggestions would be greatly appreciated as well as other cars to consider.

i look into the wrx and the eclipse gsx the most. best bang for you buck.
