the 2g eclipses are known for great tuning cars, although, those are only in the gst and gsx models. the rs and gs models were the laughing stock of the tuning world for the longest time. the chrysler 420a engine was horrible. it takes a lot of work to be able to pull power out of those engines. now, through the years performance shops have been building more aftermarket parts for the 420a. if i was you i would sleeve the cylinders and get forged pistons and rods. get bigger cams. i believe the stock cams are a 152, a 172 cam upgrade will be fine on a na setup. if you plan on going with fi, i would get some 192-212 cams.

here is a good piece of advice i was told. is it worth your time racing them. is it worth the possible wreckless driving ticket. is it worth burning the gas. is it worth doing possible damage to a good running car. if you can answer yes to any of those then you are living in fast and furious. if the answer is no, then you are living in the real world and realize that you are more mature then they are and you dont need to wast your time on them. drive your car like you want it to last forever. when you have a car to build and spend money one, you take it to the track and show what it can do.
