Have you looked at mazda miatas for sale in your area? There's 3 in my area, one has a rebuilt racing engine. All of them are 4500-5000.

I guess that means you've seen the pink ones. =) That is forgivable unless a man is driving it. All jokes aside, they are decent and handle well.

While built V6's & V8's are cool to swap in, the stock motor is good for power building. Though don't attempt it yourself if you aren't mechanically inclined.

Lol I can understand both sides of this. On one hand, my girlfriend is planning on buying a Miata (one point for Miata's are feminine); on the other hand, when I think Miata, I picture this: http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/2Kuxq4/www.juststance.com/exclusive/sensational-comeback/ (one point Miatas aren't feminine) The wheels are a bit toe'd out for my taste, but other than that I think it's pretty solid.
I've seen really solid Miatas and I've seen Miatas that were built solely for hauling shopping bags and disturbingly small "dogs". With Miatas it just really depends on what you do with them.

This is true I was in my uncles g8 special edition and a 1st gen miata passed us like we were in reverse. Like I said earlier ever since that episode of gears I will never look at them the same when there could be a massive v8 lurking under the hood but at the same time Im not to fond of the look of a miata , to each his own
