I am looking to buy either a miata or s2000. I have two cars in mind and need help. The miata is a 97 with a 1.8 eng swap, garret turbo. Dynod in at 275hp and 200tq. Now the s2000 is a 2000 with a ap2 swap everything, motor tranny diff... it has a vortech v2 supercharger and dynoed at 380hp and tq at 300. which car in theory will be quicker? Including my weight roughly 2000lb miata or 3000lb s2000. In a straight line which car is faster?

In my opinion the S2K would be faster in a straight line.

i would take the s2k also, but your weight is a bit off on it. they are stock at 2800lbs not 3000. and the miata is stock at 2100lbs not 2000.
