91 MR2 NA help

i love this car its all stock and the car is great! i beat riced out hondas everywhere i go but i'm finding it impossible to figure out what to do with it because of the 5sfe engine from what ive read bolt on will get you close to no power and its really expensive to find a turbo engine to swap it out for and with the car being so limited and me being so broke i dont know if i should trade it or sell it or if you have ideas on what i should do with it or how i can get more power out of it that would really help.

if i do trade i would like to trade it for a sedan because insurance is much cheaper on them
or if you know a car that has a low insurance rate id go for it
also seeing as im broke a car that i could get power out of and would be fairly easy to work on because i am new to the import scene
