Hey all. I recently bought a new Dodge Challenger R/T and they were going to screw me on my trade in for my 2002 Chevy Cavalier, so I decided to keep it as a toy. I know it's not the best car platform to tune, but I'm planning to make it into a halfway fun track car. I'm looking at maybe 300 fwhp when I get done maybe. I don't know much about the engine internals on the cavalier though and it's fairly difficult to find a whole lot of performance information on them (considering it's not a commonly performance tuned car). I was wondering where to start. It's a 2.2 liter non-ecotec automatic transmission with the Sport package or whatever and the low profile tires etc. Money isn't too much of an object but I'd like to keep it to mostly bolt-ons. I know I'll have to probably do forged internals etc... but don't want to switch to RWD or any of that nonsense. It's not a SERIOUS project. Just a toy for the side. I'm probably talking $10,000 or less in the end. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks.
