Engine swap for a 95 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS

Hello, as you can see i am new to this but i could use a little help from all of you, i have 2 second gen eclipses with the same motor, (2.0L L4 SFI DOHC 16V) except there is one problem, both of the transmissions are differn't, one is automatic and the other is standard, so my question is, is it possible to swap just the engines? like can i take the motor from the standard eclipse and hook it up to the automatic one and will it still run and drive? trust me i would like to fix up the standard version but the whole car other then the engine is junk, see the problem with the automatic one is that it has crank walk and its starting to get worse so i need to do something and i need to do it soon so i figured i would ask you guys thanks.

get rid of the 420a get you a 4g63t or build you a 4g64 frankenstien.

not a bad deal cept i need the motor in the car asap, its my daily driver

you should be able to find a 4g63 real easily at a junk yard.

that is true, there are a tone of dumb people who total them, would you happen to know about how many horses the 4g63 pushes and is it easily converted to 4WD? and will it swap easily with little to no modification of my chassis? thanks

the first gen 6 bolt has 135bhp and the 2nd gen 7 bolt has 140bhp, i would suggest getting the 1g, the 2g has a tendency to crank walk. it is not that easy to swap to awd. it is a lot of work.
