honda prelude belt noise

this might sound dumb but i need some help with my p/s belt. i have a 1993 honda prelude 2.2 v-tech and i just changed the alternator on my car and everything was fine exept that the belt is sqeaking everytime i turn on my car. i tried loosing the belt and it kept squeaking and i tried tiedning the belt and it keeps sqeaking.... any suggestions what i can check next or what i can do to my car?
