RB26DETT N1 or RB30DETT Engine swap

The RB26DETT N1 and the RB30DETT are 2 of the engines I've thought about swapping.
The N1 RB26 has more power and potenial then the RB30. But the RB30 has a higher rev limit then the RB26, and isn't less of an engine "compared to the RB26".
I'm just looking for everyone's insight and opinions on the 2 engines.

RB26. The rev difference isn't that large. And you have boost for a reason...

Correct me if I'm wrong. But can't both engines get tuned for boost??
And 11000RPMs vs. 8000RPMs isn't considered a big diff in rev limit?

11K is only possibly on a fully built engine meant for a drag car, that needs to be rebuilt like every day. RIPS makes kits that do go that high, but expect to pay to play. OS Giken only recommends 9,000RPMs on their RB30DETT kit. Turbo engines really don't ever and shouldn't need to rev that high, too many variables come into play when tuning. Higher stress of high rpms operations + high boost = problems.

Thanks for the input everyone. I'm still interested in the RB30, but the RB26N1 is the stronger choice.
I heard there's an upgraded RB26N1. They made around 60 to 70 upgraded N1 engine blocks this year, but with my luck they're probably sold out already..
I still would like that RB30 with a high rev limit to play with though. between 9500-10500rpms would be nice, it makes me curious though.
Does anyone have an idea on what would happen if a super charger was added to the RB30 with a high rev limit instead of turbos?

Hey,
In Australia we make an RB26/30.
it has the RB26DETT head, combined with that of the RB30 bottom. (you can also use the RB25 head)
Looking about 350KW stock without mods (extra 130-50KW than standard RB26).
Why not take the best of both.

I don't really know but you should choose, the RB26DETT N1 can at least be tuned to over 9000RPMS easy; we all know that. The RB26DETT N1 uses Garrett GT25 turbo chargers (which use a Ball Bearing-YEAH ). The Nismo RB26DETT N1 Engine Block uses an 86 mm bore which can be bored up to either 87 mm or 88 mm. The displacement is 2.6liter, but better parts for example-camshaft. Nismo balanced the crankshaft to a higher specification than stock, as the RB26DETT engine experiences vibrations between 7000 and 8000 rpm. The engine also received improved water channels within the engine block. The top piston rings are also upgraded to 1.2 mm. The N1 engine also upgraded turbochargers (GT25). I really don't know about the Rb30DETT, however by your forum name guess, I guessing you have a 240sx. I heard is easier to drop a RB26DETT or the nismo spec RB26DETT N1 but you have to use a R32 Skyline transmission I believe. I wondering if RB30 will fit-its 3.0liters? So really I guess the RB26DETT N1 would be your option. However you could look into the RB26DETT N2, it uses the stronger RB26 N-1 block, modified with Nismo parts, bored and stroked to 2.8 L displacement (87.0 x 77.7 mm). The end result for the RB26DETT Z2 is 510 bhp (368 kW) and 540 N·m of torque; it saves the work on working on displacement yourself.
