Yeah the 3000gt VR4 is very heavy, at 3,700lbs for my 94'. It has a lot of stock power at 320 (for its time). It's a great car but requires a lot of work.

The Tiburon isn't that great, but I don't know too much about it. I know nothing about the VR6 Jetta. And as mentioned, the WRX is great, probably the best choice there.

I won't lie, I don't have first hand experience with the Tiburon. The people I know who have owned or driven them have complained that they are slower than expected and don't handle that well. But don't take it from me, someone else should be able to give more realistic opinions on it.

The VR4 is expensive to repair and upgrade, relative to other cars at least. If you find one in good condition, it'll be reliable. But, for example, the timing belt has to be replaced every 60k miles, and that usually ends up over $1,000 to do. For me, it's well worth the trouble, and the car is very fast

o alrighty thats cool. i just didnt no cause it looed have decent but wasnt sure cause i no nothing of hyundai's. And call me childish but the dude in toyko drift makes fun of hyundai's so i figured it wasnt awesome.

yeah the vr4 would be awesome cause i like going fast. I could only get my Kawasaki zx-6r to 153mph but i'm hoping for higher next summer. but the prob with the vr4 would be i cant really afford costly repairs wen i'm shooting for upgrades, and idk how well one of those handles the snow haha (wisconsin).

any other cars you might reccomend looking into looking

thanks for the help

The VR4 will get up to about 180MPH (though I would hope you'd only try that on a closed track). As long as the frame is in good condition, it will handle the high top speeds.

It will also handle fine in the snow, thanks to the AWD. However, it's heavy, so something like a Talon AWD or Eclipse GSX will handle much better.

Its already been said but the WRX is the best option there and it also has the AWD and if I'm not mistaken comes with more stock horsepower.  As far as the tiburon goes it looks sporty but overall is not very fast.  On more than one occasion people i know have given up on moding it.  If i remember correctly it comes with 160-170 stock horse power, makin it not much better than the hondas you were talkin bout.

The WRX makes considerably less power than a VR4. But, it has a good deal of potential and will be far more reliable than the VR4 (and is lighter). Depending on the year/model, the STi makes up to and over 320 HP, and is a good deal faster than the VR4. I don't know the specifics about each year, though.

the latest model of the wrx makes 305hp stock but if you go back to the years yamaha mentioned then i think they have around 250 stock but personally i say the lighter the better because they have more potential for modding.

Again, WRX all the way. Plenty of potential, AWD to keep you on icy roads, I know, Norther Ontario winters are harsh. Tiburon's are just a no plain out. I've never heard of one getting tuned up good, and every time I see one, I just ask myself, "Why?". Thank god that they replaced it with the Genesis Coupe. Much better for now, but probably out of your price range for now.

Back the the WRX, NA or Turbo, excellent choice and looks good. Plus, it's a 4 door so cheaper on insurance as well. Just do us all a favor and do everything right and not half-assed.

Good luck.

yeah pretty much everyone i asked said no for the tiburon lol, so i'll steer clear of that one.

WRX is wat i'm looking for but its slim pickings here so thats why i was looking for back up suggestions. and if i did get one it'd be turbo for sure because turbos are awesome, and they sound pretty bad ass

other than timing chain what is down side to 3000gt? Costly repairs as in what?

dont worry i dont half ass stuff when it comes *** i drive i want everything working in tip top shape and not worry about discount parts or poorly done work.

once again thanks alot
