MY FIRST BUILD!i need major help!

hi, im going to build up a tuner. sadly i have a budget!  but can someone give me some suggestions on a good car to buy?
i will not buy any honda or acura or what ever they are or a gsx or tsi.i just dont care for them. i was thinking on getting a 240sx and swapping with a sr or mabe an rb 25 or 26 det? my friend said get a 300zx and swap it for an rb26dett b/c it's a much better motor. but idk.thats really exspensive compared to some other stuff iv seen. but any suggestions will help me.i will buy

subaru?-older 2door or 4door but what would i do to it?
chevy?
audi s4(year 2000 or so)
bmw 328is or m3(m3 to spendy for its money, for its power)
stealth or 3000gt?
              pretty much anythng rwd or awd. turbo or not(ilike turbos though.)i want to build anything from 300+hp  

build something that you can afford.  you said you have a budget but what is your budget?

I have a 240sx and am doing a budget build too, so I understand. Although you're on a budget build, it doesn't mean you can't build it right (using quality parts, high quality installs, etc.) Seems like you're headed in the right direction.

I am going for a KA24DE-TT using Power FC, Nissan factory turbos, and probably a custom log manifold. I am looking to push around 300+whp.

Just wanted to give you an option for a 240sx

Yeah what kind of budget are we talking about here? And 300 crank or wheel? A VR4 or 300zx TT will come stock with 320 and 300 HP (of course, this will be reduced on an old engine). Both can be found for under $10k in good condition, and the VR4 responds well to basic upgrades (I assume the same for the 300z). But, both require heavy maintenance and repairs are costly.

The MR2 is a great platform, but I've never messed with them myself.

umm.not limit. just a slow one.ya know.a lilttle bit of money rolling in slowly.so.im guessing.idk.dont wanna guess.lol.by next summer time.6-14k over the whole time periode.  

3-500cash per month after all my bill's.lol.i know.its sad.just hard times but i have money and i want to do it. i just dont know what to use as a good platform besides a honda and i hate them.no offense!none.just not a me car.

The stock KA motor definitely does not come stock with turbo's (I wish! haha) I got some free Z32 turbo's and went out and bought a rebuild kit for those. This setup is definitely not the most resourceful, but I figure it's something unique and I want to give it a try I'm hoping the two turbo's will be equivalent to a GT30 turbo. I need power!! haha

Oh by the way, my car is setup for use on both road racing and drifting circuits
