i'm kinda new to this whole thing and i'm trying to catch on fast. i've seen cars that people call ricers and i'm guessing it's when a cheap car has all this unnessessary stuff done to it. but i'm not quite sure so can someone here give me a full detailed professional definition of what a ricer is and how to do cool things without becoming a ricer

a ricer is all about show and no go. a real tuner starts with go the makes their car look the part. im not talkin bad about hondas, but they are the most riced out cars, but when you see a little civic with a metal or fiberglass spoiler that sits as high as the roof line and has an obnoxious looking body kit and a paint job to match with 19" chrome rims sitting low with some cut stock springs, that is a ricer. they also usually have a can larger then 5" and they think they can beat everyone with that can on the back of there car as the only performance mod.

Yeah, it's all about the looks. Most commonly riced out cars in my area are CRXs, Mustangs and Probes. Very sad to see a Mustang GT riced out Then again, when every other car on the road is a mustang, ya gotta make yours unique somehow

A ricer is someone who is all show and no ***

Also someone who decides they want to make their 67 Mustang fast by swapping in a RB26 because its so much better than a 5 liter Ford. And cuz the guy in FF3 did it.

My opinion on a ricer is having none fuctional mods such as fake scoops or just slapping a cannon on the rear for the sound.  Acourse there are different degress of it but a full out show vehicle is not a ricer.

Also the cheaper the mods the more rice in my opinion, like the 20 dollar chrome hub caps you can buy in wal mart. I almost get sick everytime i see it

You all must be muscle heads. Also all civics aren't ricers. Mine isn't . I have a B16 c5 which is about 200hp then me and my friend rebuilt it and now it has 500hp and thats not with a turbo. My friend is trying to convince me to put 4 T-66's on my civic but I wanna put 3 GT-47's on. My stuff is quick but the real beast is gonna be my 240sx that has no engine in it right now but me and my friend are saving up for a SR20det right now and go to the drift track in Bham and smoke these muscles and show them how drifting got started. It was japanese cars that did it and its gonna stay that way. I don't give a crap about going fast in a straight line or in a circle. That's why NAscar is for chumps and super boring. 200 laps in a circle, meh I'll pass.

I much prefer GT racing myself, multiple different turns ftw. Also, I don't think there are too many muscle heads around here. Like I said, Mustangs are among the most riced out cars in my area

are you a freakin idiot, no b16c5 can push 500whp. a rebuilt b16 can maybe reach 250whp with a full rebuild. and what the hell is up with you thinking that you can put 3 or 4 turbos on a freakin 4 cylinder. post some pics cause i dont believe a word you say. i bet your car is a riced out honda with a ugly body kit and a huge aluminum wing.

there is a guy in my town with the 6.0l pontiac gto, and he has two fart cans hangin out the ass end.

well i'm no expert on this exactly, but couldn't you technically put 1 turbo per 1 intake and 1 exhaust valve?  (all this is assuming you could fit them). again correct me if i'm wrong, which i very well may be.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but I'd still be interested in seeing that many turbos successfully spool on a 4banger
