Well we are in the model section of the forum, lol.
I am not sure what magazines actually look for, but I know a good butt and a pretty face are among the most appealing aspects in the tuning community (which is good for me, because I like me some pretty girls with nice butts)
I'm sure you can get a general idea by checking the model pages off of the magazine's main page.

If you want to become an Import Tuner model, head over to your local import car shows, get yourself noticed and known, and maybe IT will contact you down the line. You could also try to send some photos of yourself, preferably taken by a prof. photographer, to IT's editors and see what they think.
