so im trying to find a new family car cause my eclipse is to small for when i have kids. no, im not getting rid of the eclipse. the two main cars that i am looking at are the wrx and the lancer rally art. on the down side it has to be an automatic cause my wife cant drive a standard. does anyone know if the wrx has an automatic tranny available. i looked at the website and it did not help one bit. the wrx has more power and its cheaper, but if i cant get it in an auto then i will more then likely choose the lancer. is there any other turboed awd 4d cars that i missed. if you know of any new cars, 07<, tell me.

the audi a4 2.0t quattro is a great car and it has a nice dual clutch automatic. Btw  the 09 wrx only comes in a manual trans

Previous WRX models should come in auto. Also, I think the new Impreza GT comes in auto (same turbo boxer)

Or, you could make your wife drive a real tranny lol

i tried to teach her how to drive a stick and she blew out my clutch. it shattered and i ended haveing to replace the whole tranny. then she snapped my clutch cable. it was hell. im picking up a cheap saturn 4dr for a dd cause i deliver pizza at pizza hut. its a standard and im thinkin about trying to teach her how to drive a standard again.

way2fast4u, i know that they come with a standard, i was just wandering if anyone new if they came in an automatic. also, whats the hp and tq rating of a audi a4 2.0t quattro.

justin you mentioned the impreza gt. whats the dif between the impreza gt and the wrx.

thanks for the help guys.

I think way2fast4u meant the new WRX only comes in manual. To be honest, the only thing I know about the Impreza GT is that it has the same turbo boxer engine. I imagine it has less sporty suspension and extras, much the way the STI has more of those things than the WRX. I think that only matters if you plan to get a new car, rather than a used. (can't imagine too many used 09' for sale)

Yeah, the 09 wrx does not come in an automatic transmission. Now About the hp and tq rating of an audi a4 2.0t.

this is for the B7 body style and chassis (06-08) IMO the best looking and can be had for cheap (for an audi) used now.  The new B8 just came out and it has the same engine.

Bhp: 200
Tq: 207

Im into the european tuning scene and know quite a lot about tuning audi's and vw's. With a chip from GIAC you can see gains of about 40hp and 70tq and with the awd it can handle the power quite well. That chip will raise the boost so you will need an aftermarket DV to handle it. (only 100$ for a Forge 007). The possibilities are endless with this car and i strongly recommend this car if you can afford it. Heres a great site for customizing audis, vws and even porsches.

What are you guys smoking?   The 2008 Impreza WRX with the Premium package has the option of automatic and manual. FOr 2009 the IMpreza 2.5GT comes with Auto and Manual. I have a 2008 Impreza WRX Sedan. They are very reliable and don't get stuck in the snow. They are fun to drive and cheap so i would get they WRX.

Yeah like I said, previous WRXs and the new GT come in auto, not the 09' as mentioned above.

Still, godfather should stick with Mitsu all the way, lol
