Hey I have a 1993 Acura Integra 2-Door, It has the 1.8L V-Tech Stock engine. I am looking to tune it out to make a mean street rider, BUT I am not sure where to start. I've worked on 1976 Camaros and a 1967 GTO but these tuners....lol im lost. Where would be best to pick up a newer engine (crate most likely)? Im swapping out the Auto tranny for a Manual when I find a better engine with more horsepower n torque plus would a turbo be decent for this car? I'm looking for the greatest speed but also reliability as well since this will be my daily driver. Any and all Suggestions would be helpful ty

if youve got over $5000 then i suggest you import a b18 type r motor from japan. i got one from a performance shop and it came with 285bhp. i know spoon makes some fully built motors with or without turbo for $6000 and up.

Well im still at a loss at what to do. Im looking for the most power I can get on a budget I guess you can say. Engine dress ups etc can wait but I am looking for that power boost. Would I be better with bolt ons or with a swap?

the cheapest way would probably be to build on what you got. it will take alot longer for it to come together. to get real power out of the stock motor, you will have to rebuild the motor from the inside out. good luck on what you choose.

Fvck the JDM B18C! If you've got more than $5000, go all out with the K-series, especially the K24.

the k24 base motor is 7500. the install kit for it is 2500. why spend so much for a stock motor. i dont see the point.

where at? a friend just bought one for his 97 civic and it cost him 6000 for a stock motor. his total receipts before the motor is even installed is already over 7500.

Make a K24A2(I think)bottom (TSX) w/ a K20A2 top, called the frank. Very popular on RSX's and gives some very high torque for a honda. I've seen ppl on CRSX do it for less than 5K. If your not as adventuresome, try to find a K20A. I don't know how it would be on an older teg tho. If you want a K20, I've seen alot go for cheap on clubrsx
