I have a question about the 04 Mitsubishi Lancer.
Is it possible to swap out the front bumper, fenders, hood and headlights with the Evo IX?
I was wondering if this was possible as I am not a huge fan of my Lancer's front end(Goldfish eye's for headlight cases, as my old man says). I know the USDM Integra has a conversion to JDM( a slimmer, sexier change), but since the Evo is what the Lancer is when its grown up, that Integra swap is what had me thinking that this could work just as easily.
Thank you in advance to all responders,
Isaac

you can but the front end will be about two inches wider then the rear of the car. to make it look even, you will need to get the rear 1/4s also and have them welded in. when you do that you will need the rear bumper and tail lights also.

Thank you....but
being totally new at this, what do you mean by "rear 1/4s"? This is my first car, and I am just starting to get into the import tuner scene. Thanks for your patience.

i would get a nice RWD car but i blew all my money on my Ducati 990( im a big two wheeler at heart) and this Lancer was all i could afford, while not buying a crap car. Im really interested in the import tuner scene so this is first foray into this world.
I'd love to find a 300Z but hard to find here in good condition in the steel city (rust is major killer here).
Thanks for the clarification!!

fwd is a good place to start off in the import scene. dont start with cosmetics first start with some minor bolt ons and then work your way to rebuilding the motor. there is a lot of work and time involved with tuning. if you have any performance style questions feel free to ask. most of us here can help you out. just dont listen to those that will talk shitt cause its not a certain type of car or cause its not rwd.

Intake is the easiest to do, and a good start. You could have an intake and exhaust for less than half the price of the front end conversion. Some guy on my old block made a fake evo from a base lancer and it was passable from a distance.
