Hey Guys,

This is somewhat of a car question/debate. What would you guys say is the best tuner video game out there on the market?

I'm looking to invest in the setup with steering wheel and everything. I know forza and GT are the biggest, which one has better options?

thanks,

Forza 2, You can't mod cars in GT, so it sucks as a tuner game.

You can no longer mod cars in GT? That takes away from half of the fun :-\

I am really looking forward to the new batch of games, Forza 3 and GT5 that are coming out. There are some amazing screen shots for the games online right now.

I am looking forward to actual damage in GT5. I always hated when people would ram another car or bounce off of wall and the car comes out like you just waxed it. From the screeen shots alone I think Forza may bee in the lead.

you really should check out any of the need for speed games. i dont know the most recent one, but they've had HUGE options to mod cars in all of them. i'd buy one of them.

Hands down its Forza 1&2. Im waiting and hoping for a Forza 3 to come out. The things Forza allows you to do, fully tune your suspension down to pound on recoil, stiffness, tune your gears from 1st to final drive ratio, aerodynamics, differential, tire pressure, tire camber. Need for speed did let you do something like that until Pro Street but still isn't as good as Forza, ot also allows you to do some drivetrain swaps, like a Corvette Z06 to a C6R setup, take a GSX and put an EVO IX GSR drivetrain system. When upgrading it gives you the companies that a race company would go through, tells you what kinda parts and what they do to get it to that level, such as telling you they use chromolly rods, port and polishing solid mounts, a throttle per cylinder on the intake for increased performance, deck the block, aggressive race cams. it also gives you a HP read out by adding these parts. The only thing diff pro street did was allow you to adjust the turbo and cam gears to give give a better top end but a sluggish take off, i wouldnt mess with the cams if i want better top end ild tinker with the gear ratios on my tranny. So yeah FORZA
