OK, so i'm 20 yrs old and in the Marines.  Got my RX-8 about 9 months ago, 2005 Sport Automatic RX-8... big mistake.  Payments and insurance are making it impossible to upgrade her.  So now I'm looking at trading her in an getting a cheaper car that still has the same potential as she does.  I've been looking at Mitsubishi Eclipse, Nissan 240sx, Acura RSX, Acura Integra, and the such.  I need a car that's gonna be less expensive to work on than the RX8 but i still wanna do a lil drifting an racing on the side.  Help Me

An Eclipse GSX or Talon Tsi will be cheap and easy to mod. However, I'd only go with the 240 if you plan to do any drifting.

Nothing wrong with the 240sx strong engine. You can double the power without changing standard internals. also cant get the rsx or integra if your wanting to drift there both there both fwd

The 240SX can be modded to he Max, without too much difficulty. You'll want more power to push the Rear-tyres if you're planning on drifting. Port polishes, New Filter and possibly a new exhaust system. Makes a difference you know, aswell as a killer sound! Happy Tuning!

If you are looking for a drift car then a Subaru Impreza would be good. They sell many parts from the 2004 to 2007 Imprezas. You could find one on ebaymotors.com that has 40k miles for around 9000-13000 bucks. It is also good for racing. It has All Wheel Drive so you can drift and it has good handling. How do I now? I own a 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan.

I you are more into racing than drifting then an Integra or RSX would be good because they are reliable cheap and they sell lots of parts for em. Good luck!
