WHAT??? I got word from my mother that Im getting a maxima?  Im shocked, happy, and mad. Yea Im gettin a car; MY FIRST but, I always wanted a Eclipse. Any NISSAN heads, I NEED YOUR HELP!!! Is there any advice, websites, or great tune tips.

hey, my first car was a 92 ford taurus. dont mess with it. leave it alone. drive it as a dd. get a job, save up your money and purchase a more tunable car.

haha, they are right, a minivan could be worse, unless it was like a 95 toyota previa le sc, a supercharged 4 banger rated at 160 hp, or the 2.5l dodge caravan turbo. hahaha

yea, true. My sister have a 06' maxima and car is *** fast it has a trictonic transmission, V6, 217 whp, it blows the line in 5sec. (my sister's boyfriend was driving when that happened), he even smoked a G37...A G37 GUYS???!!!, WTF???!!!

I couldn't agree more..... 
But, since you [topic creator] asked...
Is it a V6 or an I4? Because if it's an I4 it's most likely the QR25 that came in the SER Spec V Sentras..... Decent motor....

I have and 2004 Nissan Maxima SE w/ a 6 speed manual. You would be surprised how fast the 3.5 liter V6 (w/265 hp and tons of torque)is stock. The VQ engine is the same one found in the 350Z and G35. Add a few mods and it becomes a beast. Check out 6thgenmaxima.org. Tons of help, ideas and good people available there to get you started.
