hey i just bought a clean 88' crx shell for 1500. pricey i know but i couldnt pass it up! the problem is that the kid before me blew and warped the head gasket. the tranny exhaust and headers are all new. all i need is a motor...

so my question is....

is it the zc sohc that i need??? or something else?

a b series is not in my budget and i need a clean easy swap

thanks!

the d16 sohc non vtec will be your best bet. you can pick one up for around $500. the d series vtec sucks. they are meant for fuel economy, not performance like the b series vtec.
