Cons-
NA FWD vehicle. Huge argument going on about this in another thread.. but im against and heres my argument
-NA: Unlike turbo engines only a few things can be done for a small power upgrade. When you have a turbocharged engine you can essentially just up the boost for more power (is more complex than that most times. new injectors, fuel pump etc etc) -FWD: Once you have a large ammount of power going to the ground then spin and wheel hop become a nightmare. also due to laws of physics (energy in motion stays in motion) the weight of the car comes off the front wheels when you accelerate.
Also if im not mistaken then prelude engines come fairly well maxed from the factory. Thusly intake/header/exhaust wont give you THAT much of a power gain.
Pros- -The car comes with a decent ammount of power from the factory (200bhp/146btq). (bhp/btq is power before drivetrain loss) -They are quite lightweight and nimble by what ive been told -Being a honda there is a HUGE aftermarket support and fan base to help you out. -4 cylinder is very easy to work on and learn with. -Parts are cheaper compared to other vehicles.

the prelude is nowhere near being light weight. they weigh over 3200lbs. they are the heaviest cars that honda has ever made. the main pro about the prelude is the motor. the h22 was the strongest stock motor until the k20.

geez my friend that runs a lude told me that they weighed only around ~2800ish. Guess i should stick with research..
And for a starting car i guess it isnt too bad. And of those model honda's i think they are among the best looking...

actually, heres their exact stats.
Curb weight 3,042 lb
Engine VTEC H22A4 195 hp 156 tq
never mined about what i said. i was thinking of the tq from the older preludes. in 97 honda redid the h22 and made it a beast.
my eclipse stats
Curb weight 2,822 lb
Engine 4G64 SOHC 152 hp 162 tq
wow, i just looked up the 4g64 and every thing has the wrong power rating for it.

you sure it has the wrong stats? that could be how much actually get to the wheels, before drivetrain loss, alot of people go with the power it has at the flywheel.

yep. intake, exhaust, and shift kit. until a buy a sport ecu, i sit on my torque. my best runs are from a rollin 40 start. i do ok off the line, but suffer at higher speeds.

You're trying to say that Honda hasn't made a car heavier than 3200lbs? And by the 'strongest motor' do you mean that was ever put in the Prelude? Or ever made by Honda? Because the F20C in the S2000 produces the highest power per unit volume of any mass-produced naturally-aspirated combustion engine. 123.5hp per liter...
You need to do some research before you, again, put words in the mouths of world-leading automobile manufacturers...

the h22 was hondas strongest motor. the key word is "was". im sorry that you dont know how to read properly.
i do research, if you would have read further down the forums, i actually corrected my statements. i researched the weight and power of the prelude that he is looking at.
so, before you try to act like scrotum, you should read all of the posts before you post.
