I am about to purchase a 1995 Nissan Altima. I am not sure what the trim is but I know it is a 4 cylinder Twincam engine.

The problem with the car is that it has 170k mileage.

It has new gaskets that were recently replaced.

Anyways the price being asked for is 3,300 dollars.

The interior is nice it has been modified some, with a DVD player and stuff.

I am unsure whether or not I want to buy it or not.
the 170k makes me a little iffy about buying it. But at the same time for where I am at right now it is really one of the only affordable cars with such a deal.

Concidering this will be my first car and I am not looking to spend more than 4k pushing it no more than 5k, would the 3300 be a good price for this car?

Aside from all that. What Kind of engine swap would I be able to fit into a 95 Altima body?
And what can I do to start tunning this car?

Thanks

if your looking for a daily driver, it would be a good choice. nissans last forever. my uncles 85 pickup has over 500000 miles. my cousins 94 200sx ser has 150000 miles. i wouldnt by it as a tuning platform though. if you wanna know if the price is right, go to kbb.com. that will give you the average price of the car.
