Hey, I'm currently in Iraq and looking to get a Tuner Car when I get back.  I had a scion tc for a while and sold it for my truck.  Well my truck will be paid off when I get back so I want to get back into the Tuner World.  I was thinking between a new RX-8 but not sure.  Any opinions on what to get (and what not to get) would be appreciated.  I was also thinking of getting a used Acura RSX Type S..but still any suggestions would be appreciated, i am not limited to those two cars.
Thanks!

the rx8 is a good car, but they are expensive and a pain in the ass to work on. the rsx is to expenxive for its lack of power. if you want a fast stock car with awd, i suggest a wrx, a sti, or a evo. i prefer the sti.

350z!! Get a Nissan 350z!! haha, sorry, I heart the 350, so I'm a bit biased.

First off, thanks for being out there in Iraq. I'll be heading out there again at the end of 2009. Have someone keep my spot warm and toasty for me

The above poster is right about the RX-8. They're hard cars to own and maintain, but if you're patient, it'll be fine. Rotaries are much different than regular engines. The RX-8's require a warm up-cool down period to prevent floods and stalls. Sucks. Which is why I'll never own one, cuz I do a lot of daily stop and go driving, where i'll drive 10 minutes and step out of the car to do whatever. Oh yeah, rotaries also use oil like crazy.

Depending on your taste... AWD - WRX (prior to the 2005/06 models) or Lancer Ralliart. If you have craploads of money, STI or EVO. Or a Honda Fit with AWD. (i'm kidding... stop glaring at me)

For FWD... Mazda3's are pretty good cars. So are Honda Civics. Acura RSX type S aren't bad cars either... but if you're looking for power and ultimate coolness factor....

RWD - 350z. Or an Infinity G35, which I understand is the Nissan Skyline in Japan. The sedan model can also come with AWD. Personally I heart the Z, but I think the G35 coupe is a bit more refined and easier on the back when it comes to bumpier roads. Nothing that suspension work and chassis stiffening can't fix on a 350z though. haha...

Choose what YOU want in the end though. Make sure you get the car you want and will stick with. I made the mistake of not doing that, so.. yeah. Have fun Let me know what you get too!

the 350z is nowhere near the skyline. the skyline in japan is the skyline in america. the 350z is the next gen from the 300zx.
