all i ask is if the rb swap would be better then getting a new car and super charging it or turbo in it.. i was considering the ls1 swap on that 240 too =/ sounds bad ass.. i just wanna know from both engines what would be better in the long run for more hp..

WEll why swap the motor int he 240. Peple are building the KA to handle alot of power. Just turbo it. People are getitgn good out of them Also was an article or an editors note abot how its gettign ot be a more popular motor to keep in the car!!!

Well on the RSX-S forums, you have to pretty much rebuild the motor if you wish to make more than 270whp. This is a pretty weak amount of hp to be making b4 you have to build up the block and head just to make any more out of.
IF pulling motors and rebuilding them for forced induction is your thing, than a supercharged rsx-s is for you, never mind the fact that its FWD and only pulls a 15.1 in stock form.
IMO, it is a bad platform to work with, we try to steer people away from FWD NA's on this forum as they generally are better built for fuel economy than racing.

supercharged RSXs are a little more restricted to making power than a turbo setup. a co-worker was running the Greddy turbo kit on his type-S for over 50k miles at 13psi with no issues - about 300whp with supporting mods. stock motor. with this much power to the front wheels only, you will have a beast on the highway, but from a dead stop, you will just roast your tires.

I think everyone should stop posting on this thread, and not do drugs. It has some 30 or 40 replies, with a few of them on topic. With everything you all managed to yell at eachother, you probably all said something false, lied, and or stretched the truth. And is it really neccasary to jump into threads and talk about your car instead of answering the question? The last part applies to about 4 of you.

lol, I don't understand you guys....you guys argue about stupid crap. Who cares if he's lying or not. I know nothing about the MR2's. Personally, I do know quite a bit about the supra's, and although I agree that they are an excellent platform to start from, stock...they're just an import version of a mustang... I'm not trying to crack on your ride, but who care's what it is stock. I have an 2007 Mazda RX-8. From the factory, yeah, it was pretty quick, but I still got my azz handed to me all the time. So far I have about 10,000 invested in it, my motor...well, it's far from stock, I've put nothing but the best of everything in my car so far. Just last week, I got my azz handed to me by a lotus elise. You guys are missing the point to racing. It's not about who has the biggest or baddest ride. Plenty of amature racers are losing to novice racers...they get p****d off and dump a whole bunch more money into their car...I taught my friend how to shift correctly and how to "cut corners", he has a 1991 saturn SL2 with a 1.9 litre DOHC and he's SMOKIN a lot of the locals here with no upgrades besides a cold air induction. And you 2JZFTMFW, you called him the puzzy, then you told him to drive down to Texas where YOU are. Why don't you be the bigger man, and drive up to where he is? I'd gladly take you on...infact my parents live in texas, I'll be heading down there in March. Let me know where I can meet you...I swear to god I ain't playin either. I'll race you, but you better back up your mouth and race for PINKS!!! I'll even let you choose the spot. I'll even let you use the bottle and I'll take mine out of the car...Just to be fair though, I should tell you that I don't have the stock motor in it...other than that, you'll find out what I'm running after the race.

read the post date. its a year old although i must say it was quite amusing reading about how this guy thinks his mr2 is stock when it has a completely different motor in it, thats like me saying my civic is stock, i just thought i'd throw a k20 and $5000 into it but its still stock...

Well thats just the thing though my MR2 is using a stock MR2 motor from another MR2. The engine seized after 163xxx miles and so I took a direct bolt in motor from a MR2 in japan and dropped it in.
My motor is stock for the most part but for turbo and intercooler. Its still on stock longblock/ecu/fuel system and I guaruntee it will blow the doors off most any Honda thats as relatively unmodified as my car is.

k YOUR CAR IS NOT STOCK. if you have a motor swap and a new turbo you have a really modified car. it doesn't matter if you seized your motor

I consider using a stock MR2 motor from another stock MR2 in Japan. Its barely modified at all I havent touched a thing but for bolt on turbo and intercooler and it put down 303 whp in 100 degree heat.
I would like to see a Honda that can put down 300+whp on stock injectors, ecu (no piggybacks) and longblock.
WIth my new ACT unsprung clutch and fidanza flywheel I expect 340whp in normal weather, still on stock injectors ecu and longblock with more room for power.

just because i could put a "stock" k20 in my car doesn't make my car stock, same with yours. if its the same motor its stock but yours is a completely different motor. who cares if you can use stock injectors, why not use better aftermarket ones. try not cheaping out
