This is my first post so please don't get mad if I'm not doing something right. It would really help me out if I gotta few answers to my questions.

I'm thinking about getting a Nissan Maxima. What year do you think is best? I have been looking at the 2002-2003 models with the 3.5L V6. I want a manual. What year has the most mod parts for after market customization? I was looking at the performance parts for the 2002-2003 and didn't find much at all.

Any Nissan owners or people that have worked with Nissan?
I want to make it unique and fast.

Thanks!

theyre more of a daily driver type of cart which is why your not finding too much.. the 3.5... it wouldnt happen to be the VQ35DE would it? if so then its the same motor as the 350z.  Im guessing all your seeing is intake, catback? an im not too sure if they make an ACTUAL manual, ive only seen the triptronic type automatic.

As far as making it fast, i wouldnt really bother with that car.  you could make it a tad bit fastER for a few grand, or you could save that couple grand and get another car thats made to be tuned out.

For your 02+ range, check out a SRT4, Cobalt SS, or hell an EVO VIII

Well I know theres a 6 speed manual available for the 2002-2003 versions with the 3.5. I believe its the same motor as the 350z just detuned. The 0-60 in the SE model is 6.3 stock. I don't think thats horrible for a 4 door family/luxury car. I'm leaning more towards that class because I had a small eclipse and was in an accident and I broke my neck. I want something safer and more luxury. The SE has available leather, sunroof and stuff like that.
