Im looking at an rsx-s im thinking about droping a turbo in it. I need to know what the motor is in it I think it's a k series. But can someone help me out with it. And does anyone know if acura or even Mugen make supercharges or turbos for that motor. I know HKS makes a turbo kit for the rsx-s but that of course voids the warranty which in my financial situation would be great to avoid. Thanks  

Yes a RSX Type S is a K series. The differences are small between the years. check up on wikipedia for more info on k series. Technically putting a turbo wouldn't void the warranty, well drilling into the oil pan might, but they don't have to know =). Mugen doesn't make superchargers nor does Acura. Your best bet for a turbocharger would be a Full Race kit. (fyi full race is the brand).  

Thanks for that do you know by any chance the turbo kit by rev hard is any good. I just saw it on turbo-kits.com and it says its 75-100 hp increase safely on a stock engine if thats not true do you know what I should buy to safely get my car to that increase im sure headers and gaskets are some ofthe basci things but what is really needed in order to turbo a car. (safely0 without destroying my engine. also would a 4b11 from teh evo fit into the rsx  

From my past research(I was planning to get a type s) you want to check out clubrsx.com for more info. It's a forum specifically for rsxs. Full-race was the most popular kit the last time I looked. Made the most power and pretty reliable. You won't need a header if you go turbo. The turbo exhaust manifold replaces the header. Go with a thicker gasket to lower compression, and invest in kpro.
