I need help. I'm only 17 and I dont know what cars to choose as my first one. I have about 55-60k I can spend on a car, but I only want it as a daily driving car. I was actually going to install mods on my *car* small ones, so can you guys make some recommendations before I make a big mistake. Thanks in Advance.

Depends on what you like. And how much money you have to spend.. I say go for something you don't see on the road very much.

I would buy a NSX if I had 55k to spend. Go to cars.com. Look up used. I found some good ones going for 30k.

I suggest buying something paid off since you are so young and if the auto insurance is going to be in your name. So what are you looking for? For I know you want a Ford 350 crew cab but I doubt it. Do you want a 2 or 4 door? Do you want a 2 seater? With that sort of cash you could get a Honda Accord for a daily driver and used or new EVO. The EVO would be a good choice in my oppinion. It has a cast iron block which is good for lots of HP, heat disapation and it has been in production for over 10 years which is a lot better than the 2.5 boxer engine in the STI. Make your choices a good one. Good luck.

I'm going toward a 2000 Integ Type-R for daily driving and an Evo, but which one should I get evo 7 or 8? Thanks for everyone's input. And yes it's going to be under my name. i have State Farm insurance so I'm leading toward a 4 door for now ,but I'm not completely convinced.

I am sure you can find a good low mile Lan. Evo. 7 for less than 20k and the difference in hp from 7 to 8 might be small as 5 hp. I know because I own number 8 in the MR trim. A Teg Type R for a DD sounds sweet. I wish I had one.

We are getting the evo 9 here next year. THe only problem with the evo8 is they have weak clutches. I have one as a company car, Its only 3000km on the clock and I have already had to replace the clutch. I have done no modifications to it at all. I did a bit of research on the net and found I am not the only one who has had this problem. I have upgraded the clutch and touch wood, have had no more problems. Awesom car, It will eventualy become my project car in a few years.

First of all, I don't want a z06 because of the bad gas mileage and I don't want to spend over 38 k for a used car. And about the Nissan Skyline, I can't afford it, no time to wait for a car to be shipped from Japan and is wayyyy overrated.

if I remember correctly, the zo6 had better gas mileage than the evo zo6: http://chevrolet.jbcarpages.com/Corvette/2004/index4.php
evo: http://research.cars.com/go/crp/features...aff=forbesautos
pft, be one measly mpg
I'd trade ~75hp for one city mpg anyday!
