Ok so i am new to the tuners and i have a few choices and was wondering which would be best for track racing. I was thinking either a mitsubishi eclipse 99 GSX turbo, BMW M3 2001, nissian skyline GTR 1999, toyota supra, honda civic 95 which is what i have right now, or a mazda rx-7 or rx-8. I need too build a car that can match a corvette z-06 in cornering speed and power. so please give me ur feed back it would be very appecaited.

(maniacal grin) Now that's motivation! Avoid the FWD cars, they won't hold a candle to such a thing as a Z06. The BMW though good is quite heavy and I haven't seen an M3 in the A.L.M.S. win in the same class as the Z06. The Rotaries suffer from poor mileage against a conventional engine and the fact that if it ever goes lean it would mean going home empty handed, though consider that one as one of your top picks. The Skyline?.. Even though it is by far the most capable of your list. Imagine the Tech inspection on that one . The GSX is practically an Evo so that one should be on the top as well.
I'd pick a 350Z though... It provides enough grunt as it is and could be upgraded to provide much more. The best thing is, that to achieve 1g it would only take a LSD, 18" Rims, Tires, and an adjustable rear sway bar. No coil-over needed on that one, though you could get adjustable shocks to cater to each track that you may visit. Seriously that's a bargain, considering the price of a pricey 32-way adjustable coil-over you see on the magazines... On the engine a Twin Turbo kit from a reputable company can give you 500hp on stock internals, but the stock bearings on Z's are crud to the hardships of track life. So if you decide to tear the engine open you could get dished pistons from either JP or Cossworth, and some racing bearings. I like the Jim Wolf Technology Twin Turbo...don't know why really just like the name I guess Though there's three setups that you could choose from in regard to power, but moderation is always good when talking about forced induction. The stock clutch can handle a butt-load of...well, load. So if you decide to upgrade it get a slightly stronger one to compensate for the unforeseen slip here and there. I guess an Aluminum Flywheel would get rid off some, start up sluggishness too, so that's always good. Now the Vette has some perfectly proportioned weight displacement with some carbon-fiber parts and magnesium ones too. What do you do? Try to follow as well. INGS has opened a branch in California (last I heard) and it provides a complete assortment for the RX and Z cars as well as others.

good luck. GM copied the Ferrari 575 when they built the Z06 so, consider that one
and good luck!

I agree, depending on your wallet size, lately the Z has been one of the better all round bang for your your buck platform out there, and with its growing popularity (its already huge and getter bigger) there are a ton of aftermarket support from reputable companies. GSX would be my second choice out of that list, or hell, an evo VIII.
"GM copied the Ferrari 575 when they built the Z06"
^did not know that. now that im finally finished with the restore on my pops challenger, i can focus on my 300ZX conversion to a 575 lookalike. (my dream car, and i cant afford to buy one, so i figured id build one)
and seeing as im gonna have a big bank (thanks to my pops auctioning off the cgallenger and givin me the cash) looks like im gonna be gettin pulled over by some state cops. (seeing as im 22, and will be in a "ferrari")
"where did you het this car son?" "its mine" "YOU own this ferrari?! I dont believe you" "I swear officer, its not even a real ferrari" : pops hood so officer can see the nissan TT powerplant:

I dont know about a zo6, but a stock version of my car made from 93-95 can brake better than a ferrari 360 modena, and get the same skidpad as a ferrari f40, and if it comes with the JDM 3rd gen 3sgte in it, run 13.3 in the quarter b4 dropping a dime into it.
I had this car for $6500 bucks too.
