Oh my... Here I go with my stupid (I forgot who those greek guys were... or were they russian?) ethics and stuff......
You got the wrong idea man... You don't get a pocket rocket to say "I'm going to teach my (friends/family/guy you know) Hemi a lesson!" You get it, because its a blast to drive and to see how good them rusted seats can hold before you fly out the window... If I had a (non adultered) CRX, I'd be in my garage everyday working on that thing as much as I could... "It's about to give" Friend goes "Lets rebuild it ourselves!.. Its going to break so if we break it, we just take it to a machine shop anyways!" High-fives all around...
Get a cat-back "Get the jackstands and the wrench!"
Get headers "get only two jackstands this time..."
Underdrive Pulley, "Take out the wheel and the pulley puller out of the tool box.."
If you're too annoyed by the above then you get my message... Those cars are there to be worked on. Its 2 decades old so, nobody cares what you do with it, The aftermarket support is immense, and spare time is considerable... You're uncle does the same thing in his garage and thought the same thing when he got his car...
The final point is... Its your car do what you please and don't feel left behind. People overrate the CRX as the Ultimate of Japanese cars and that with an engine swap with VTEC or as they call it "VTAK!!!!" you can beat a V8... I say, "Just Have fun" and bring your friends along....
Look at this if you really want to give your uncle a challenge though...
