Hi its me again well my parents wont let me get the AE86 because its had like 170k miles in it.and i wouldnt have time to rebuild the engine cause ya know im still in school.well now i need to pick a good car in between 1995-2007.
right now im thinking of these cars: give me some feedback on them and wat other cars would u recommend. and hey im only 14.ima bout to be 15 in November.
and i want the car to be 8k and under.
its mostly gonna be a daily driver and show car.its not gonna be a racer but i will still engine mods.
my ideas in no certain order)
Volkswagon Golf GTI Volkswangon Jetta 1.8T Honda Civic SI Mitsubishi Eclipse GS Honda Prelude Honda Accord Nissan 240sx
and thats all i can think of right now. but plz give feedback about the cars and how much are they gonna cost and does it have a good aftermarket.

go with the eclipe. you can find a 3rd gen gs for 5-8gs. it is a really safe car to drive. it handels like a queen with stock struts. and gets pretty good mileage. everybody talks *** about them until they get smoked by it. on the other hand the 240sx is an awesome car, but it wont handel as well as the eclipse.

haha the civis si isnt a bad choice either, you can get a 2000 for around 8 g's and its a pretty quick car. its good for a first time driver because of the fwd and it handles pretty well. theres a lot of aftermarket support for them also.

go with the 240. you can find them under 5,000 most times. it has good mpg, its fast, and it looks a lot better than your other choices. the only thing that will need to be replaced is just a belt or two depending on the mileage which isn't expensive. other than that it shouldn't need much.

yea but for the 240 to be good wouldnt i need an SR20DET swap?

GTI's are pretty nice... my friend has one currently in the high 12's. very nice car, with good potential while retaining driveability. The KA engine in the 240 is good too, if i got me a 240 id drive the KA till it dies then either get a new KA an build it or swap for an sr depending on fundage.
and ohh *** where in bama? (st, town, and how much)... im comin to central bama on fri in a car carrier for work, and i got 2 spaces available lol. my wifes gonna kill me tho if i bring back ANOTHER car. so far the total is 3 cars in various project stages, and my daily (4 days a month) driver.

its def a good starter car... good luck convincing the rentals on it.
A few pointers on the convo, avoid saying anything about power speed etc. stick to roomy, good mpg, safety, volks reliablity, etc. and if they bring up that its turbo'ed, tell them a turbo helps with mpg, after all theres a saab commercial that says, "we take the energy from exhaust and recycle it" REPEATEDLY

but the eclipse u can get alittle bit cheaper and use the extra money to mod it up.

Do not get a Mitsubishi Eclipse GS! They are ok for a 4 cyl but if your willing to spend 8k look into the honda prelude. That V-tech will rock the Eclipse. I owned a 2001 eclipse gs and didn't like it much. It drove nice but slow. I was just in a car accident and the car was totaled. I broke my neck too oh well it was the other persons fault and i will be getting a chunk of change so once im out of the brace its all good. Remember, you can never go wrong with a honda, look into nissan more too.
