ok while back i put on ur basic cold air intake, it has a tube going to the back of the valve cover to the pipe of the cold air intake, is it ok to put a small filter on the tube from the valve cover,eliminate the rest of the tube and put the larger filter straight on the throttle body ?

God e-thug in the house. Instead of criticizing him, help him out. To the OP, yes while it's fine to put a filter on the valve cover, I wouldn't suggest it though. The filter really doesn't do anything, and you may lose power. It's better to keep that hose there because it allows a vacuum to suck out any contaminates out of your cylinder head and reduces any excess pressure. With just the filter, there's no vacuum to essentially "suck" out any blow-by. For more info check out the October 2008 issue of Import Tuner, Fact or Fiction article.
