a fit is a fuel efficient grandmas car. tellin someone to get a fit is like tellin them to get a lincoln towncar. the tc has more base power than the civic. id go with the tc. because of warranty issues id go with the tc also. trd is, for all i know, the only company that will not void your warranty, cuase they are sold buy your local scion and toyota dealerships. for about 5gs in trd parts you can get about 25 more hp. plus trd has great suspensions.

Hey, guys I just test drove a tC and I gotta tell you, I loved it... they come with a lot of standard features, seems well powered, pretty good on gas and looks good too... I think I'm sold haha but who knows, I think I'm still going to test drive some other cars like the Civic or whatever else seems good.. but i think i know what I really want now.
Thanks for all the input and if you have anymore, please share.

if you can dish out a little more money per month i'd go with an 09 Civic Si.  they come out late next month, and plenty of after market support is already available for the motor since the same K20Z3 will be used as the 06-08's.  Within 6 months springs, coilovers, sways, etc will be out.

Stock vs stock TC's are left in the dust.  My stock Si had my friends TC with intake, exhaust, and a header by a couple car lengths.  I like the TC's styling and all, but I wouldn't drive one.  On the other hand I know someone from a local meet who pieced together a quality turbo kit for under $1200 for his new TC.

Regarding Honda Fits I agree they are 100% a grocery getter car.  However, J's Racing swapped a K24 from a TSX into their fit and with basic bolt ons its a monster.  The motor alone had about 95 more BHP then the factory Fit motor, and that thing is now a road race monster.  A K24 swap runs for about $6,000 with the motor if you can't do your own labor though.

do you know how hard it is to do a k24 swap into a fit. js racing took over a month of custom fittin and cuttin to barely dit the engine. accordin to the report on it everytime they hit the gas the headers smack the radiator. its like puttin a v6 in a crx. possible but stupid.
