ok im going with a 96 eclipse gs 4 cyl 2.0 lit for 2,995 with 112,000 miles on the eng...what do i ask about the car when i go to buy?....what would u do to that engine?... is 2,995 a good deal for a 96 with 112k miles?...oh and as soon as i buy it i will start work on it so do any of u know of any car design programs i could download like i could pick from a set list of tuner cars apply body kits and get a feel of what my car could look like?

Well first of all, whatever you do, dont try and make the car fast. It is cursed with a weak 420a motor and a weak transmission, and has inferior FWD.
It really pales in comparison to the Eclipse GSX which comes with the 4g63 and is AWD, it is no where near as fast as one of those, and has no where near as much potential to be fast as a GSX.
If your putting a bodykit on it, I recommend against daily driving it, as you will bottom out and more likely than not crack your fiberglass front end and scratch up your side skirts, but hey its your car, do what you want.

OK thanks i don't want to settle for a car i will want to upgrade ...now i have to find a gsx... it will be a daily driver and street legal since its my first car but not for long I'm being put on active duty for 19 weeks n going to train in texas in nov...when i get back I'll buy a daily driver n try n make a mag cover with my eclipse and take it to the track...if i put a body kit on it but don't drop the ride height would that help with no cracking the fiber glass???.....need more opinions on my first post people! thanks
