If you can find an AE86 buy it those cars are great on the track. If not go for the evo VIII and upgrade the clutch.

In my opinion yes it would. But other people may disagree. Seeing how your only 14 I'd go with a N/A because I would hate to see an evo VIII wrapped around a tree.

I feel ya dude. I'm a junior. I drove a 2000 blazer for a few months and then my parents found a good deal in my acura legend and got it for me so I parked my blazer

You can't even legally drive an r34 in the states or canada, and unless your parents are buying this car you won't be able to afford any of those except the AE86 or GSX.

Have you seen the depreciation value of a 350Z? Yeah....Thank god for cheap interiors in them Datsuns huh? (I used to own one) By the time this guy is lawfully allowed to drive on his own a good pre-owned one will be around 15-20K (base-fully loaded)..........
Though here's a tip so you can get a good maintenance scan when you buy it + Carfax... Check if it's ever been over-revved for a good while and if its had a regular service schedule. You know stupid previous owner showing off and not taking care of it thing. Because then you'll know it's useless and you want 2K off the asking price, because its a Renault Engine and in those things the bearings are crud....
How come people keep saying "Oh Eclipse GSX, Eclipse this..." You can buy an Evo VIII for 20-22K (thank god for cheap interiors huh?) and it'll be faster than that lag-prone MR monster....
But if you really want to get away with it... Sure you can make the payments selling lemonade and overpricing your friends for gas money, but what about the insurance? Yeah the devil's in the pudding in this one. Have you tried a WRX wagon? OHHHH you know where I'm going....
And that is the cheapest one mind you and its still a WRX
Seriously how many GSX's (or 240SX's for that matter) are there that haven't been messed with by some kid running its inspiration on an early 2,000's movie about street racing and under-glow neon.

Masters was saying that by the time your old enough to be driving and get the car, a 350z will be affordable due to its deprectiation rate, and to watch out cuz the engine bearings could be crap from the previous owner revving it out at lights. and seeing what your budget will be, hes saying avoid the eclipse if you can cuz alot of them have been messed with by kids that dont know wtf theyre doing and usually are only a few thou miles from blowing up. And i also dont think he realized how big of a budhet you had, but keep in mind, insurance on a newer car for a new driver is outrageous, especially if its a racer (EVO, STI, etc)

for 45k you could buy a lotus...
Seriously though, go for something front or all wheel drive as a first car.
On another note, I'd get cars off my mind till I was closer to 16 and focus on school, it'll be hard to maintain that grade point.

First off I'd get something cheaper to start off. To tune your talents and misgivings a bit and to shave off some jitters you might experience going at high speeds. Go to a rally school or rally on your own....yep that's the best cure... Then laugh apathetically once you take some turns in asphalt...
Then get a BMW M3 with the V8....live happy.
