Bro, if you think that a 2001 Prelude is what you want then get man. I, of course, don't own one but i did a little research on the car and the only downside they speak about is the rear seat enrty. I am not much of a honda person but that right there is a nice car.
Note: I hope you got the cash and experience for this car cuz I don't want to be the reason why a dude dies in a car accident.

If u dont kno what you want now u shouldnt be lookin for a prelude........y u ask? because if u dont know the capabilites of the car and arent mechanically inclined i would suggest more research, the reason being for the price of the car you can get a wide range of vehicles depending on your interests. But if your hooked on ludas id save for a decent 1996-99 sh model epuipped with the H22 motor and i would hope for nothing but a 5 speed driver.  They are good cars but should not be your only choice, theres a post about preludes and gsr integras you shoud take a look at that..........gl with your decisions.

If i had any say in that i would tell you your wasting your money. dont get me wrong but a rx7 is an insane automobile but if your considering a luda and then thinkin about rwd turbo beasts you should think about what your reasons for buying a car.

Depends on how mechanically inclined you are. Assuming you are not, I would say no. I often find these cars broke down on the side of the road, one caused me to be late to an important meeting and fail a class once, and my neighbors rx7 would look like a fire came from his house everytime he warmed it up in the morning. There one of the least dependable cars, but capable of high hp, much better car for people very experienced in working on cars and racing them, than a 17 year old new to cars.

I suggest getting something naturally aspirated that u can learn off of before getting something more powerful and requires more driving/mechanical skill. a turbo car would be a bad choice. A honda prelude or Honda anything should be fine for you, speed kills, save a life, drive a honda.

Get a Toyota Celica. That will be a nice project. Fwd and you might end up keeping it for a long time(depends on the mileage and how you treat it).

I would make more research on getting the rx-7. They are sweet looking, and have great potential, but they burn oil like no tomorrow and rotary engines are not forgiving when it comes to low oil. Also rotary engine parts are crazy expensive and very fragile. They easily break. I would love an rx-7 but as a weekend car or project, not a daily driver. I definitely suggest a honda of somesort. I am a prelude owner and I love it. They are sexy looking, handles great, and are pretty quick. They are on the heavy side, and when it comes to tuning you gotta go FI or go home. Bolt-ons give very little gains to the prelude. (by the way from 97-2002, all come with the H22A engine). However do get Manual!! Don't bother with an Automatic, they suck. Go to Preludepower.com if you want to see some more sweet looking preludes.
