Ok,this is gonna be my first car purchase.

well,me and my dad was driving down the street when i saw this Toyota Corolla GT-S.And i think the GT-S models are 85-86 right soo i think im try to convince my parents to buy one if you guys think its good im thinnking its good becase like its one if the rarest tuner cars cause its not everyday u see an AE85 or an AE86 flying down the street. The car looks really old and there looks to be no rust that i can see from the car.And i would also like to know little bit more about the car.

what i know is that the 86 has a DOCH engine and the 85 has the SOCH engine right?

what i dont know is that will it be relible(dats a big thing to my parents).and will it gozzle gas like crazy.?

soo can u help me out.
and btw im 14 years old.

its a 4 banger so it would be at least decent on gas, and as far as reliability, its 20+ yrs old. Hell in my home state, that qualifies it as an antique.  youd def be spendin quite a few $ on maintenence. but its a rare car with amazing abilities that in my mind is worth it.

Good luck convincing the parentals on it

Don't bother with an AE85, thats the regular, run of the mill, corolla.

The gt-s is the AE86 and thats the only one that can make any power without an engine swap.
