I read that article on this site about the older corollas and how good they are and it got me thinking about other older cheap tuners that are out there. My question is are there any out there.

How old is older? The 70's had the 240z and the rx-7, the 80s had the rx7, corrola, 240sx, mr2(I think), crx, golf gti, fairlady z's... In my opinion a lot of the best tuners are form the 80's-90's, newer cars tend to be much heavier due to safety and emissions stuff, as well as numerous luxuries.
Rx's were best in the 80s-90s, as was the corrola, and the eclipse, not to mention cars such as the supra and the 240 that arent even around anymore.

It IS called 240z, not the 280z. The 240 launched in 1970, the 280 followed up in 1975, their the same car but different generations, like an FC and FD rx-7.
All z's were inline 6 until 1983, then you could get either a v or inline 6 until 1989, and then it was v6 only.
