hey all, i have a 2000 honda civic lx and i wanna know what would be a better swap for it? my friend says the b18 but i was lookin at a k20 series. if i can get any help that would be great.

B18 would be an easier swap, but the K20 will have far more potential and offer more power stock vs stock.  honestly though you'll drop probably around $8,000 for the entire swap with parts/labor for about 50 more bhp then your SOHC D series motor has.  you'd be better off selling your car and buying a civic/rsx used with a B/K motor already in it, or even looking into a car that comes boosted from the factory.  This would be the more economical method, but if you've got the money to turn your civic into a beast then more power to you.

yeah i was looking at an 06 subaru wrx. but i dunno if i wanna drop 17 grand for that. plus the insurance and payments would be to much for me so eh im not sure what im gonna do. i was looking at an rsx type s also. its pretty much the same as my friends new civic si. but im not sure, so many cars to choose from.
