THe S-Hit Event

Hey, I just heard about this new scion event at Wellesley Toyota-Scion. It's called "THe S-Hit Event", a.k.a. "The Scion Hit Event", a.k.a. "The *** Event".  Free food, guitar hero competition, dance floor, raffles, free give aways. This is going to be HUGE!
I'm letting you all know because there is going to be a car show with prizes for the winners. They have categories for best paint, illest entertainment, sickest engine, best of show, and maybe more. Either way - I want some good competition there. No one like a cheap win.
Also, there will be wicked discounted parts/accessories. So think about it, no shipping and handling costs, huge price cuts, and you get to see/hold the product you're getting. SO even if you have nothing on your scion you can bring it by and possibly leave with something good/free.

Here's the info:
August 16th - Saturday
2pm-8pm
Wellesley, MA --> on the edge of Rt. 9
234 Worcester Street, 02481

Is this for real?  Do you really expect us to believe that you just HAPPENED to come across this info and decided to share it?  If I search on google for anything about this event, it's just more posts on other message boards that are almost exact copies of this one.

This sounds like a dealership that is trying WAY too hard to make it sound like some hip, edgy event is coming by and is for tuners, rather than for drumming up business.  Ugh, this is why I hate Scions.

Oh, by the way, this things name is f'n stupid.  Who was the genius who came up with it?  Someone who has no idea about how marketing works apparently.  Although I'm sure it's going to be appropriate, as this event will probably be ***

Alright first of all - if you hate scion why are you googling scion events?  Secondly - you need to chill out. This really is not something to get worked up over. I'm sorry youre bummed out, but like I said, there is no reason to legit get angry.

Well, I wasn't Googling Scion events.  I was reading these forums and found this.  I thought it looked sketchy, so I did some checking.  Crap like this bothers me.  If people are dealers, why don't they just come out and say it rather than hide behind the guise of it being an event thrown by people who actually care about their cars?

What's so wrong with being straight up with people about this sort of thing?  How hard is it to be like "Oh hey, I represent Whatever Scion and we're throwing an event for owners"?

and as for "unseenryan", no one is going to buy anything from someone with 1 post, who joined just recently?  Would you?  They're probably blown up anyways"

to be honest, i think the name is pretty kick ass, and im not the only one who thinks so. Also, I actually am an 18 year old with a scion tC with parts put on it. I want to get in this car show and hang out with people who feel the same way. This really isn't some random crap. So I get your point, but just let it rest cause its not whats going on.
And come on, let him go with the parts. He threw in his 2 cents - not a big deal.

Well, I'm sure as soon as your local Scion rep hears about it, they won't be thrilled.

And I believe that you own a tC, and that you've done stuff to it. (but I do wonder if you chose that specific wording because you have paid/had someone else do it)  That's not what's being debated.  But tell me this, do you work for this dealer?

And why should I let this person go with the parts?  He's obviously a person trying to scam people.

I actually looked into Scion's for a while before buying my WRX. They are very well built and extremely unique. I am not a huge fan of the xB but the tC is a very nice car.

Dude, even if you have a WRX come by and check it out. Anyone is allowed, and there are two best in show awards - one for scions and one for anyone

That would be really cool. MA is not too far either, I live in PA. I love just taking the WRX for long drives anyway so why not to an event.
