Hello everyone!

 I'm new to the imports. I'm goin to design and build a import engined vehicle using a OEM engine and transmission combination from one of the following manufacturers:

 Audi, Acura, Honda, Toyoya, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Daewoo, Datsun, Nissan, Volkswagen, Subaru

 However my question is, Which engine should I choose for the design?  As long as I could choose both an automatic and a manual transmission that would mate to it easily.  It should be from a car built from 1990-2000, and readily available.
