240sx.300zx.180sx. Pretty much any RWD car would be great, I just said those ones cause' there cheap, easy to work on, and I like Nissans. If I were you I would want to just try and get a used 350Z. Oh, and as far as the Lancer goes...There all good cars, but the Evo is by far the best, being AWD.

If it wasn't the fact that Skylines are hard to get and their price... I'll go for a Skyline over an Evo... =/ But yea, save up for a 350z. They are awesome =D. If you live where I do, up north where it snows like 24/7.., RWD is probably not the greatest idea.. very limited traction.. lol.

a good starter car would be a ff style. it is a lot harder to drift than people think. a '91 - '98 honda; '95 - '03 nissan sentra; or a 2 gen eclipse are all cheap and easy to tune. that tinin market for those cars is unlimited. with a ff car you can learn how to control.

You can not drift a FF platform.
Drifting at the very least requires your Rear wheels to be turning. On FF, you can not turn your rear wheels. At the most you can do is ebrake slide, which is not drifting.
And the only car you listed that is "cheap/easy" to tune, is a eclipse gsx, not a eclipse gs/gst/rs.

i was sayin its harder to drift, period. and what the hell are you talkin about, hondas are the cheapest cars because there are so many of them. it takes alot of money to truly tune any car. people like me who dont live at home and have mommy and daddy pay all their bills, it is hard to spend $5000 on a car a year. a honda may not give you a 10 sec car(over rated) with minor upgrades, but if your a real tuner than you know how hard it is to find parts havin to custom fit parts from other cars. you talk about fr & mr are the way to go but where i live, and my drivin style i prefer ff. your rwd would have no chance against my car at current hp out on the old country dirt roads. you live in socal and drive on concrete everyday and that tuned car will never really see real racin ecept a couple runs on the strip. when you can take a ff and slide side ways through any corner, gravel or concrete, then you can call me out. ive had more time under the hood and behind the wheel of so many different tuners i know how most of them drive. driftin is the process of a controlled slide where your rear wheels slide out, they dont have to be spinnin. i can drift my ff almost as well as most can drift their rwds. back to you new tuners, ff are easyer to start off with. you can learn to control your vehicle. start off small and build your way up. or be original, take a car you dont see on the scene and build it yourself. there is no better fealin than havin the only one.

FWD cars do not "drift"...they slide.
Drifting is the ability to hold a controlled slide using your throttle.
FWD cars do not use throttle on non-moving rear tires....and they lose speed in a turn, when sliding.
Again....FWD = sliding.

sliding, call it what you want. i dont loose speed goin around corners. have you ever watched the drifts. they start buy pullin the e-brake. rally drifts; e-brake. no matter what you do rwd "slide" too. if you dont pull on the e-brake you slide off the road.
