Import question.. seriously.

Ok guys.. I have a serious question to ask. why do you guys like imports so much? An engine thats less than 2 liters and 4 cylinders..? I mean honestly guys.. Your pushing what out of your new civic SI? 197 hp? Wow, thats impressive.. must be shattering records with that.
Or is it the fact that you cant handle a real engine? You know, the kind that measure in cubic inches, not centimeters? Come on guys, learn to handle a little power.
Or is it the fact that you like Japanese rice that will fall apart in a year?
I was also wondering, how much does it suck when you see people laughing at you and you know that its because of the *** you drive?
Have any of you ever actually driven a REAL CAR? I seriously doubt it.
And whats the point of stupid looking "body kits" and big ass bookshelf wings? Isnt the point of a spoiler to get traction? Then does that mean since your car is front wheel drive, it should be on the hood and not the back of the car?
Maybe you know your car sucks, but just dont know what to get.. Well boys and girls, theres a lot of cars better than yours.. I'll even list a few.. Corvettes, GT's, Camaros, Mustangs, Firebirds,Minivans... just about anything DOMESTIC.
Also, keep in mind if your still a vagina, and cant handle 8 cylinders of real power, at least get something with 6. You should at least be able to handle that with your bad ass drifting skills right?
I'm just watching out for you guys.. dont want you or your piece of *** cars to get laughed at anymore..

heres some simple advice from me....
Dont F#AK with a Camaro!
and incase you didnt get that just llike how you dont get the fact that the wing on your FWD is causeing drag & loosing traction then watch this.
http://videos.streetfire.net/hottestvideos/3/0bed7bc0-9834-4b42-ac3e-984101203e92.htm
seriously though, lets face it a Camry isent any faster with a fart can & shopping cart on the back. And btw, when u bann us please be smart and bann us by the IP address and not by the name, other wise we just keep coming back....and reamember RICE IS FOR EATING!

I think someone is just pissed off that they just got their ass owned in a race by a Evo or something. And since your going after Civic's so much... Maybe one of thise things beat you. Haha, sucks to be you. And By the way I think what brings most of us into tuning is the fact that we can tune and build up a 4cyl. engine to whip the *** out of your gas guzling "Camaro". And maybe if you spent some time reading, which you probably struggle with too, some posts on this Forum you'd see that we try and tell people new to the tuning world to buy a RWD or AWD. What's that? Your shitty cars don't come in any AWD formats? Too bad. And I really truely believe that the reason you came upon this website is because you came back from racing or a day at the track, and were curious about that STI that beat the *** out of you. So let me explain why that car beat you. It has AWD which is BETTER than RWD. It doesn't wieght 4 billion pounds, and it's wieght load is BALANCED. It's not just a car made to look good and have a huge ass engine in it. It's made, from the factory, to race.
PS- I hope you don't get kicked off this Forum, because I'm sure others will want to put you in your place at the bottom of the food chain as well.

Seriously. We try to clean our forums of "rice". There is a difference between imports and rice. And benn has it covered pretty well. Sirscr0tum1 can kick your v8 asses with his little 4 banger mr2. Turbo with an mr setup if you couldnt gather that. Hmm... Evo's are easily faster.. Sti's...Rx-7s(btw a 1.3L engine.. Its rotary but you wouldnt be able to comprehend me explaining that)...Supras... The list gos on my friends. And if you didnt notice- Toyota beat chevrolet in sells. Also fall apart? Hondas and toyotas are probably the 2 most reliable car companys out there. And HAHA. mustang gt's oh your funny with your v8's. Ive stomped plenty- Camaros, Firebirds, Mustang gt's in my little NA v6 FWD 3000gt. Pretty bad when someone who isnt as well matched can out drive you and your "real" cars. But just notice- We push towards RWD, AWD, Stock turbocharged. Btw uhh Most of the turbo 4's.. which are faster.. Also get 20+mpg. Does your car do that? Didnt think so.
Before you come onto a forum trying to burn someone figure out what we are into. Your making fun of "ricers" and that we are not.
Im starting on a new project car and should be done by xmas. Its a little v6 mitsubishi. If any of you big v8's would like to run then let me know and I will meet you somewhere! You would be quite surprised as to what it will be able to do
Oh yea and for engine size. Theres a new engine out thats made specifically for drag cars thats a 4 cylinder pushing 4000hp.
And the "drifting". There are people that are good at it and well represent what we are into. Then there are the stupid kids in their moms cars trying to do it with a FWD and end up going off the road and crashing.
And as for whom you attempted to burn by this post. Im fully with you on RICERS. Not majority on these forums. Alot of the stuff they do is stupid looking and pointless. But we try to rid the streets of that.

agree/disgaree.... V8s are amazing, very simple to work on, parts are cheap and the numbers impressive, they may guzzle gas, but the last much longer, and they do haul ass. I love chevy small block power, big blocks are cool too, just not my thing. But you must admit, when you and get a 2.0 inline 4 with a turbo to kick your 5.7L v8 ass at the track, and then still to get 25mpg on the trip home. that is impressive. cars packing v8s have nice size engine bays, the engine is simple, and its all there to work on.. plain and simple, it takes much more skill and effort to work on an imported 4cyl. a eagle talon awd 2.0 turbo ran the 1/4 mile in under 7 seconds. and it still does 18mpg city, love to see a 572 run a 7 second 1/4 and even try to get double digit gas mileage. theres a reason muscle cars went away. they're awesome as *** and i'm resorting a 91 camaro rs, and putting in a 383 stroker, but i mean, i can't afford to drive it everyday. life goes on... cars get smaller, lighter, then engines get smaller and yet still pack more power, but yeah they do get a *** of a lot more complicated, but thats why u need brains to tune an import

If I were impressed with the only way to go fast, using a RWD 2door V8, than this wouldnt be my license plate. And btw, I wouldn't put this plate on my car, if I could not pull it off.
And the discussion of which is better, imports or domestics will always be around. Fact of the matter is, v8's have been producing impressive quartermile times since the beginning of time, and are a great quartermile car.
However, alot can be said for turbo v6's and turbo 4's, the Buick GNX was the first stock chassis car to run in the 7's, a record that has also been achieved by a AWD 4cylinder turbo 4g63, John Shepherds Eagle Talon.
My car ran a 13.3 from the factory in 1994. For cars in its price range, the Mustang and Camaro, neither one of those muscle cars could run a 13.3 from the factory, til the 03 Supercharged Cobra came out, running a 13.3@108mph. So unless you have a 03 cobra that has several bolt ons, or an LS1 Camaro with a cam/turbo/nitrous, you probably would have your doors blown off by my tiny 2.0 turbo with a couple of mere bolt ons to an otherwise completely stock motor/ecu/fuel system.
What I do enjoy about my car, is I do not own one of the 1 in 100 fast mustangs/camaro's/Trans Am at the track, but a platform using an engine that almost nobody uses at the quartermile, that turns some heads when the v8 muscle car guys realize there are other ways to go fast, than a run of the mill fast mustang.
Hey what do you call a group of MR2's? A meet
What do you call a group of Mustangs/Camaro's/Trans Am?
5 o'clock traffic.
Also I would like to mention that whilst a v8 when properly done up correctly can be an impossible car to beat at the quartermile, it cant do anything when it comes to any kind of braking, or handling. I also enjoy being able to smoke people at autox or tracking a car, thats why I went with a car that can match a ferrari F40 in the skidpad in stock form, and can outbrake a ferrari 360 Modena in 60-0 in completely unmodded stock form. I picked this car up for a mere $6500 btw, it ran a 12.8@108.3mph with less than $500 in bolt ons.

I don't drive an import, simply bought a car that I could afford and it isn't an import. It is a tuner, however, and yes I race it. Where I come from we all race in the same place: trucks, tuners, muscle cars, whatever. It's almost funny how sad some idiots are with their cars. My car is completely stock by the way, a 94 Cavalier with a V6 in it. Lots of people think it's a crap car, and it does need some work. It's also a frontwheel drive, unfortunately. The best part? I still own idiots with mustangs and trucks who enjoy their 383s and 350s. Sure, I know a few guys with muscle cars that don't suck, and yeah they can be amazing machines. Once again, there are just as many tools out there with muscle cars as there are ricers. However, it takes a lot more skill to tune an import car than a massive engine bay muscle car. How do I know? I'm a mechanic. Oh yeah, lots of idiots drive tuners. Plenty of idiots pick up a brand new $40,000 mustang and think they can drive. Or they fix up a road runner and put in a big engine to race with. Whatever the story, it takes real talent to build a tuner car and more to drive it. Hope you don't love your trash muscle too much because in case you haven't noticed, they handle like crap. I could drift circles around one with my front wheel drive, while it's moving. Yeah, I've done it without a working handbrake. That's the fun thing about making movies too, you get to do crazy stuff like that with carst that can actually move. Hope your pride isn't hurt too much.

they "have" balls to post that kinda crap here, its just they dont have enough balls to stick around and fight back, its like when they talk *** to the dude in the 2jz big ass turbo supra before the race, and then dont say a *** thing after they lose, its sad really dont you think?, thats just weak.

I've been in my share of different cars and I have never found anything that special about domestics. Always preferred either japanese or european import cars in general. Besides I'd prefer to be able to turn on the track
*** I have respect for people who do restoration of old classic muscle cars because of the time and work they have placed into their cars, not people who just want to try and brag about how fast their car can go in a straight line.

I own a '68 Nova SS that has a fully restored engine. Even when I ran nos, once, I didn't get under the 10sec mark in the 1/4. Its just too heavy. I just bought a '91 eagle talon with a n/a 4g63 and was informed by a buddy that his can run low 13s stock with no add ons. I don't know why someone would talk *** about any kind of car, or anyone that spends time, money, and most importantly their heart into a car. Its a pat time that many people enjoy, and thats all that should matter, be it a little 4cyl, a v6/8, or anything else I might have missed.

seriously, the guy needs to read up and reconsider what he said, i mean, my favorite cars are muscle cars, always have always will. they have, what i would say, almost unprecedented power capabilities. love the looks, style, and power, and beside, its like all american to me. but im also on this site, because i love imports as well, it kind of is a recent thing to me, lame way to get into it, but fast and furious got me into tuners, and more involved in muscle cars. but its amazing to work on the tuner cars, it takes alot of practice and skill to build awesome tuners, and i gotta give props to all you tuners out there, because it just never ceases to amaze me, on what i hear, and see with your cars and its just like o my god, thats insane. i love muscle and i love imports, we both have good and bad, but both are awesome.
