i am currently looking at purchasing a 1993 honda del sol s type. It has a 2002 ex B16 swap and a cold air intake. I was wondering if anyone new about what the whp and torque ratings would be for this. it is slightly heavier than normal as it has a full body kit, though the hood is a carbon fiber. any help would be appreciated. and if you were wondering it looks like this.

Personally if your life style lets you have a 2 seater then i would get one.
My choice would be a 90's 300zx they have V6's.

not to mention the twin turbo set up on the engine. only problem is you have to pull the engine out of the car to replace the turbo. pita to work on

No, your thinking of the b16a in civic si's and del sol vtecs in the 90's. I dont keep up on what motors economy cars come with, but according to wikipedia the 2002 civic ex 127hp from the factory like most low line civics are. Whp rating would be around 100-105whp.
If your looking to own a car that can not be made fast without lots and lots of money being dumped into it, having it rebuilt and adding a turbokit and new fuel system/clutch/ecu, than that is what a del sol s with a civic ex motor is designed for, fuel economy and not racing. If you want to make it for racing or say, 300+whp, you pretty much have to replace and upgrade most every part on that car to be able to do it, and do it reliably.
If speed is of concern, choose a different car entirely.
The 300zx is old and hard to work on. Lots of oil leaks in hard to reach places. After talking to vg30dett owners, I have decidedly never wanted to own one, atleast as a daily driver anyways. There big, heavy, get poor gas mileage, and notoriously hard to work on, something about the battery being located underneath the dash and requiring removal of motor to replace a basic part like a turbo.
If I were going to choose a japanese 2seater, I would choose one that could run the quartermile in low 13's from the factory, so it could run 12's with next nothing done to it (del sol s's run 16's), could brake better than a ferrari 360 modena on stock brakes, and get atleast the same or better skidpad results as the Ferrari F40, on stock rims/tires and do it all for less than 10k and get good gasmileage and reliability, and push close to 450whp on stock bottom end. I think the car I chose, was one of very few that could fit that bill entirely and still remain affordable. But thats just me, I like to get bang for the buck, some people like to pay more for the same or less.
All I did was add a bolt on turbokit and nothing else, and right away can push 303 whp on a 100 degree day and all stock components, 540's stock, rox.

^ i could have sworn you said in the past your mr2 came stock turbo'd and you switched the turbo itself and not the entire kit? i know the first gen are n/a, and 2nd are turbo from the factory. which do you have?

I switched the turbo out because the stock turbo was bad. The only thing else that came with the kit was parts to convert over to an oil-only cooled turbo instead of oil/coolant cooled, a tial 38mm external wastegate and a 3" Ceramic coated Dpipe. You cant bolt the stock cat to a 50trim so you have to go with a dpipe.
Btw, if anyone is interested in a ceramic shaft ct20b turbo that needs rebuilt, I have one that is for sale, just needs a new compressor blade. The 3rd gen 3sgte's come stock with a ct20b that is good to around 280whp or so and very quick spool (full spool around 2500rpms)
My only other real bolt ons is a KO Racing INtake, a Manual Boost controller at 18psi and a Berk SMIC + 9" ATS puller, cuz the stock A2A SMIC is garbage, nor did I receive a stock Celica ST205 A2W Intercooler that comes with there 3rd gen's. That stock IC core is good up to 400-450whp depending on size of Heat Exchanger.
Unlike most tuners out there, A lot of the upgrades for my car are based off of stock components, you cant get much better than a lot of parts the car/motor came with from the factory. THey even made a stock widebody kit and 4 different types of spoilers for them from the factory!
THe MK1 MR2's had supercharged/NA versions. The 4age, although I act like I despise all NA 4cylinders, that one is no slouch. Mine is the MK2 that is aesthetically more appealing and tends to be faster, although some have put 3sgte's into MK1's to make a lighter MK1.5 MR2.
Bennfussner is doing exactly that to a MK1 right now and I am jealous of his MR2 :P
Oh and heres a video of one running a 13.3 in the 400m, which is only a marginal 8ft short of a quarter.
