I've just gotten a Corolla S 2008 and I don't really know anything about tuning and engine or bodywork.
If anyone could help me out little by little on to work on an engine and explain to me what is what then I would really appreciate it thanks.

I understand your desire to learn, but this is basically like asking "I am planning on traveling to the moon next week and don't know how to build a rocket or survive in space, can anyone help?". You should read up on sites like howstuffworks.com and corolla forums on the internet. Don't rice your car out no matter what you do, and remember It's still just a corolla and will never be a race/track car. No offense =P

You looking to do some work on that 2008 Corolla? Dude, you have to start with understanding your car. Im pretty sure this is your first one, right? If it is, let the car break in first. It's not smart to customize a new car with less than 5000 miles. Because you have a new car, there aren't many parts for it yet. Maybe after 7mos. you will see new parts, but not now. You could throw some rims on it, Custom exhaust work, and/or reprogram the ECU, but DO NOT cut your springs to lower your car, and do not touch your engine. You will only asking for trouble when your car gets older.
