that sucks. I understand his history and all, but why does the car need to be crushed? i think it has something to do with the scratched off VIN numbers (stolen parts) on the car

Atleast it wasnt an MR2, we can spare a 1 in 3 million civic. If I were the judge, I would of confiscated his car and told him he can buy it back at auction, still kinda screwing him over.
street racing and dui is the same level crime, so harsh penalties are a must for violators.

This happened to a friend of mine. Actually her little brother. They said a bunch of the parts were stolen so they crushed his car.

its not harsh at all considering the parts were stolen. If it were just your average car enthusiast, i dont think it would have been this extreme. he also had a history of arrest / grand theft auto. not his first strike.

hehe, I know the kid whose car got crushed. his father has a lot of money and he can easily replace this modded car with another one.
only part that I feel bad for him for is that he is doing some jail time for using stolen goods.

I dont feel bad for him at all. Sounds like punishment fits the crime since hes a theif. Thats what happens when you steal other peoples stuff, you play with fire, you might get burnt.
