While this car is beautifully done, I can't even fathom the misinformation put forth in the article by author Jackie Liu.

This in no way a personal shot at the author, but the "appeal of VIP" has nothing to do with how much you pay for your car and/or how much you may have left over for mods. VIP is about style, luxury, aggressive stance and fitment as applied to a select set of 10 different big-body SEDANS from Japan. Any and everything else, such as Mr. Andrades S13, is simply "VIP-styled".

Only four true VIP platform vehicles are available here in the U.S.  Lexus GS and LS, Infiniti Q and M. The JDM counterparts of these vehicles, along with Toyota Crown, Century, Majesta, Nissan President, Cedric, Gloria round out the remainder of the true VIP platforms.

I usually let these types of things go, but I can't stand to see a style that I love and have been following for years get diluted ala F&F by one ill-informed magazine article after another.

The real VIP story lies here: http://www.vipstylecars.com

All that aside, once again congrats on a gorgeous S13, Mickey!

I have to agree with bruce here. This is like throwing 19" (or smaller) chrome wheels on some car and referring it to being "dubbed out". The title a product bears should reflect the definition of the title. The S13 here is an impressive work of art, there's no denying that. Is it a VIP car? No. VIP-styled, VIP inspired? Yes. With that said, I certainly hope more people realize VIP is not just tuning; where you can just throw money at the car and have it become a SEMA-worthy contestant. VIP cars have requirements (some quite expensive, no hiding that) to earn that name, it's as simple as that.
