Very good question... That parts up to DPI. But it sure would save the hassle of digging around to find it again. And for some reason.. Not sure if its just my computer but it hates importtuner and it will spend 5 minutes sometimes just waiting on a page to load when it shouldnt take more than 10 seconds with my internet.

Does the magical thumbtack make it a sticky? That'd be cool if it was now.

also i should mention this...
if you are under the age of 19 or just lack alot of driving experience (less than 2 years) id say start with a FWD car. hopefuly NA as well. there are more than a few cooler cars with that set-up that are kind of quick. If you try driving an Eclipse GSX at 17 with 8 months of driving.....chances are your gonna wreck it...why waste?
a couple cars that are cooler with NA and FWD (most of these are under 10k...most)
-Honda Preludes (with VTEC gain some good hp...on the edge of FI and NA) -Honda Civic -Acura Integra -Acura RSX -Mitsubishi Eclipses (RS,GS) Eagle Talon ESI -Mini Cooper (non-S) -Honda CRX and DelSol -VW Jetta
Other cars that may be FI or RWD but not too much to handle
-Mazda Miata -Nissan 240sx -VW GTI
FWD is highly recomended for new drivers becuase even with lower power, RWD cars handle alot differently...alot easier to lose control and *** to drive in snow...
I drive a Honda Civic LX with 105bhp. Im only 18yrs old and its all i need. Iv got alot(...ok a little) of money saved and have more coming in and am looking to upgrade to a Mini Cooper S in 2yrs or so.(dont care what anyone else says bought the Cooper being FWD...those cars will KILL anything on a track...with around same Horsepower of course)
enjoy

Ok. Names Alex, and I'm am completely lost now on what I should do. Lets start with my background: I'm 17 who turning 18 a week from today (Today being: Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007). I currently work at Best Buy (and yes, the discounts in the car-fi aka car electronics is criminal lol). I am getting a car for my birthday but my parents are helping with the down-payment and 100% on the insurance. We are looking to put around $1,000 down.
Now here is where you, the amazing car gurus come in. I need a car that I can "sup" (how ever the *** you spell it) up that is from $0 - $13,500 (not including tax) and is under 50,000 thousand miles. Here is the reason for this: my mom is Korean. She doesn't want anything that will come back to haunt me, (as in break down on me). It kinda hard to get her to listen that I am paying the finance on it, not her, but she kinda is in her own little world. So what kind of cars am I looking at here and what am my options with dealing with her? lol
Also, could you guys tell me what websites should I look at as far as "suping" my vehicle goes.
Thanks guys!

hmm, Alex
First off, the word 'sup' tuners dislike alot from what i here.....'sup' is something ricers do/say....."tuning" is the word you are looking for...
Second, I would recomend a Honda or Acura...wont find a better running vehicle in terms of quality and reliability.....something like a Civic, Integra, or Prelude...Civic id say is best car in terms of a Daily Driver...Good Space/Room, most reliable (in sporty'r cars, more can go wrong), GREAT gas mileage depending on specific model...Integra would be the better mix of Performance and Utility(i guess thats the word)...and prelude the better one for performance (my opinion). Better handling and power/torque.
Since your new to driving id stay away from RWD for sure...RWD is over-rated and FWD is under-rated...RWD is more fun...but fun will lead to accidents....with good suspension a FWD car will have alot less "squat" off a drag...Also for Honda's/Acura's there are SO MANY different companies who make aftermarket parts...u can always find what you want and they tend to be a little cheaper becuase of more competition...
Probly only other car id recomend is a VW Golf GTI...fun cars...quick, great handling, great value, good mileage...
Goodluck man...

Yah, since it sounds like your not going to be draging this car at all. And any "racing" you do will be highyway rolls, etc. A Civic or something similar would be a great first car.

Alright, well I'm looking at getting a AWD or FWD because I love in Colorado. Its almost winter and that means snow. You do the math lol.
Though I do have a question on this, which would be better to go with, AWD or FWD for a nice (as in sometimes very snowy) Winter Colorado?
I'm looking at some Subaru Imprezas. How well can I tune these cars up and to what extent.
**Now say I purchase one of these babies, (since I'm VERY new to these scene) what should I do first to it as far as tuning goes.

If you can swing an Impreza, I'd go for it. And as for drivibility in the snow? Watch a rally video... I think you'll be satisfied. First mod, if it's turbo stock, let it breathe better.

Ok, well as turbo goes, I don't think I can, at least at this time, afford a wrx sti or just a wrx for that matter. So its not gonna stock turbo. So where do I go from here?

How much dyu have, like 13K? You could pick up a 2000 or newer Impreza, which has a turbo model, if you look around for a while. Other than that your looking at a 7k Civic, with 4or 5k in mods. Have fun with it.

The cheapest I've found was a WRX for 13,000 but it had 99,000 miles on it.
Though here is my biggest question about mileage. With me tuning her (as in the Impreza), does miles need to really concern me a whole lot? Reason why I am asking is because I would need a really good excuse to tell my parents why I would purchase a vehicle with such mileage.
So should this be a concern?

Subaru's actually are incredibly reliable...especially new-er ones...
my uncle bought an outback 4 yrs ago and he has 400,000 mi on it (hes a salesman and he drives aLL OVEr)...as long as you change oil (with the good stuff) every 3k and do a tune-up often they run like honda's.
not horrible mileage either (For Awd)...i think since you live colorado it would be awesome to make rally tuned...id drive that sucka all over trails and stuff...
fwd is good in snow also...not as sharp as awd but it works good.
if u find an impreza 2001+ with 90k or more, as long as you know the guy took care of it, your good to go...i bought my civic with 160k and u cant tell by lookin or drivin it...
*** i wanted an impreza for my first car

400+mi on it?! Wow! You don't even know the smile on my face now. Though my parents are still being uptight and *** They keep saying no to anything over 70mi. I'm getting really upset and depressed because its gonna be my car which I am putting the down payment on and paying the interest on, yet they still tell me if I can buy it or not. Is that right? I'm not sure what to do with them now. I need more facts on Subaru's and their reliablity in order to win this fight with them. You guys got any more advice or websites I can check out to help my case?
