the new "it" thing to have recently has been time attack style wheels (small red lip - example: http://www.g35parts.com/9083/osc/images/te37a.jpg)

i think they have been played out just a tad.  anyone here agree?

is there a purpose to the red lip? like does it help with handling or something like that? or is it just an idea by whoever thought about it for a different look.

and you made it sound like some cheap knock off wheel that you would find on ebay by calling it "time attack wheels"

lol, good call.  Time attack wheels are simply for style - looks that are ususally applied to existing wheel designs.  (Volks).  Black center, red lip, thats all.    they are time attack "style", just a clever marketing scheme to ride the wave of popularity the time attack name has brought with it.  They were so sick looking when they first came out, I loved them, but they got played out quickly, in my humble opinion.  Everyone got them, but not only that, everyone is painting their existing wheels with this color scheme.

I still wouldnt mind a set of time attack TE37s if there was a way to not get flammed and called out on them like crazy, but now I'm a little sick of seeing them everywhere.
