I been gettin into the whole import tuner car thing more and more, because iono...cars are just tight..lol..but I'm really into muscle and tuner, and exotics (bmw m3's Bentley Db9 and etc), what I wanna know is how do i get into tuning? I know some stuff about cars, evo's, eclipse, scion tc's, m3's, supra's...and alot more, but does anybody got any suggestion's on where i can really get the inside stuff? I wanna learn how to build engine's, tune em, build a car from the floor up and turn that sucker into a 12 sec car, get me? I dont know much, but everybody gotta start from somewhere. If you have any good suggestions, let me know..

buy a stock turbo car, and start slapping bolt ons to it.
Wow, 12's is all your asking? My car on a stock 2.0 turbo 4cyl ran a 12.8@108.3mph with a 1.9 60ft on some crap street tires, on a 90 degree day, and it was considered pretty much stock at the time, all was done was the a/c and p/s was taken off (who needs that crap anyways) with just a $1.00 wire screen over its turbo, a $50 dpipe bought off of ebay, a $200 ebay SMIC, and a $10 manual boost controller made from brassparts at a hardware store. I would consider anything less than 12's to be an engineering failure for a mildly modded stock turbo car, with correctly sized injectors and fuel system, and turbo.

eclipse gsx is a great starter turbo car, it also has a lot of potential to be very fast for pretty cheap, although not known well for reliability. What kind of budget are we working with?

I suggest a turbo 4cylinder, there fast, but since theres less cylinders, lighter cars, they get better gasmileage, they dont need big rims or wide tires, definitly the cheapest to own, mod and maintain, as well as best gas mileage.

Starting off new to the scene i would suggest looking at auto.howstuffworks.com. From there look for "Under the Hood" that would give u the basic understanding of what each component and how they work with each other. Second, I recommend maybe an EG or EK with a B18 inside, theyre great cars for starters and parts are easy to install and moderately priced. Perhaps FI of some sort, n drop a hondata? that would probably get you to hit high 12s ish.. Your budget should cover most of that. However with whatever you do dont ignore safety (brakes, coilovers, roll cage, harness, etc.) which are critical parts in building a street monster. Also recommend going down to a local garage and ask technical questions, im sure they'll b more than happy to answer if u ask. Good Luck.

Thats why reading helps, not only auto related websites but also buying a *** load of Import tuner Magazines. I'm pretty sure u'll pick it up after a while if you're interested, thats how i learned. Need For Speed Carbon is not a liable source to get information from either.

well, I went to autotrader.com and ebay.com but I mostly got porshe's and expensive ass cars. and most of the cars were really really old that had turbo's in them. even the station wagon lookin audi's came out..lol..
I tried individually looking for stocked turbo engine cars, but it's harder than it look's, if anyone has some good stocked turbo engine car's in mind. I'd appreciate it, if you let me know..

Look up an eclipse gsx. When shopping online: Make sure you go see the car in person. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Ive been a victem of the frauds going on and am a master on how they work. If i wanted to i could do them easily. As well as many others but thats a whole nother subject!. But instead of typing turbo look up one of the specific vehicles listed in the posts above ^^
